Encore Homes Ltd. was incorporated in Edmonton on Jan. 16, 1985 under the Alberta Business Corporations Act. The founding directors of the company were Doug and Linda Hoffman.

As president, Doug Hoffman focused the company operations on providing affordable homes of value to the Edmonton Metro housing market. The company slogan “Expect to be Impressed” has become the guiding principle in how operations are managed.

Since 1985, Encore has successfully built and sold over 1,000 homes in Edmonton and the surround communities, one at a time, to satisfied home buyers. Encore has been a member in good standing with the Alberta New Home Warranty Program since inception and has not experienced any unresolved claims or conciliation’s during its membership.

We were concerned with the garage door position (different from blueprint). Both the President and vice-president met with us at the house which shows their commitment to customer satisfaction. They altered the door to our satisfaction.Nolan was very conscientious in the end-product and followed through with any needed changes, most before possession, but all within days of possession.

No matter who we dealt with, from the folks at Trail appliances to our own lawyers, we consistently heard that Encore was one of the best builders in terms of craftsmanship and professionalism. We have been very impressed by the level of responsiveness and integrity of the team at Encore. Every single member of the team (Kim, Curtis, Nolan, Alicia, Kevin, Manuel) were so warmly professional did everything they could to support us. With a project as big as building a house, you expect to have a few hiccups here and there - and of course there was a few things (such us the City not approving our plans for the original site we bought!) but Encore consistently sought to find solutions to those problems. They made it way way easier and more delightful then I would have ever imagined. Thank-you all for this experience.
